It Wouldn't Be Official Without a Dedication

All day curious onlookers drifted into and out of the community center. Everybody was so anxious to see the backdrop completed. The stage floor had been refinished the week before. As each curtain went up there was approving smiles and happy comments. We had to stop work many times to politely listen to the stories of the old timers about coming to the center when they were children and how proud they were now. When we finally finished up a small clusters of " workers " were hanging around to see the finish. Everyone was quiet for a moment and then started clapping and laughing.  Scenic Arts felt proud to be a part of  the whole project. Louie Galanis had come alive again and Christos and the boys were there to greet him!

The next day was the dedication of the center and a chance for the community as well as the sponsers to see the  finished backdrop and stage curtains. We were so hapy to have been part of this whole event. Thank you.
