The Sewing of the Stage Curtain

    So now the backdrop has been restored and is looking mighty fine. Now it is time for
the curtains to be constructed.The vintage color chosen is a beautiful red curtain in keeping with the rich color of the era and only velour will do. The legs and the back curtain are of a fawn color as well as the back curtain. The stage is very small with limited stage lighting so this had to be taken into consideration in choosing the lighter color, as this stage willl be used for dance recitals, theatrical stage shows, town meeting,and weddings. Christos is in charge of the stage backdrop restoration and the stage curtain construction falls upon me. This working relationship has worked for 40 years now so why change a good thing? After construction the curtains are allowed to hang out for a bit in the scenic studio. All this time the backdrop has also been hanging in another part of the studio. All is ready to go. The rest of the Galanis family is getting the tracks hung for installation.
