Louis and Bessie Galanis started Scenic Arts Studios at the beginning of the 20th century
when times were tough and family meant everything. Bessie would sew the muslin for the backdrops and Louie would paint the scenic backdrops for rental and purchase.

It was the dedication of this combined effort that has made Scenic Arts Studios
the theatrical backdrop rental house it is today. The entire Galanis Family
through the generations have added their artistic talents and theatrical expertise
in the scenic backdrop rental and custom backdrop departments of this studio.

Christos and Christine Galanis as well as their sons and daughters now add to
the past generation of knowledge and tradition. Our theatrical backdrops are designed for
dance recitals, themed corporate events, meeting planners, stage, theater, and weddings.
